Begin with where you are

You do not need a fresh notebook or a beautiful morning to check in with yourself. A scrap of paper and two unhurried minutes will do. Pick one question, write a few words, and leave the rest for another day.

A few honest words are enough.

Five gentle questions

  1. What feels loud in my life today, and what feels quiet?
  2. What am I doing out of habit that I could choose again?
  3. Would a little rest, company or practical help make this day easier?
  4. What is one thing I can leave unfinished for now?
  5. What small kindness can I offer myself before the day ends?

Let the answer be small

Your answer might be a glass of water, a message to someone you miss or permission to make a simpler dinner. There is no need to turn the page into a plan. Noticing is enough for today.
