Start with what is already there
A tray gives a few everyday objects a gentle boundary. Try moving one you own before buying anything new. Leave enough space around the objects so the arrangement feels useful, not crowded.
01 / The coffee-table pause
Gather a small vase, the book you are reading and a coaster. Keep the tallest piece to one side so it does not interrupt conversation. Remove anything that has become a place to drop clutter.
02 / The bedside landing
Use the same tray for a water glass, a little dish for jewellery and your evening book. Keep it within easy reach and leave room for the things you really put down at night.
03 / The kitchen ritual
Bring a mug, a jar of tea and a folded cloth together near the kettle. Keep the tray away from the hob and leave preparation space clear. The best arrangement works with the way you move.
